We are recruiting for CNC miller jobs in Portsmouth with an established manufacturing business specialising in precision engineering.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC miller/setter to join a skilled production team, working within a modern machine shop environment producing high-quality precision components.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and operate CNC milling machines (Bridgeport / Heidenhain controls)
- Work within a machine shop environment maintaining safety and quality standards
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately
- Use precision measuring instruments to maintain tight tolerances
- Support day-to-day production tasks ensuring efficiency and workflow
- Complete production and quality documentation
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Requirements
- Proven experience in CNC milling machining
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- Familiarity with Heidenhain controls (essential)
- Experience with CNC lathes or EDM machines (advantageous)
